The J. M. Bogan Company, Inc. was the recipient of the 1995 REX award sponsored by the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties in the Room Addition Category for this project. Teaming with G.G.L.O. Architecture, the remodel included design and construction of the two additions to the master bedroom/bathroom and laundry/utility room. After concluding that the original carriage house, constructed with the residence in 1916, was beyond reasonable salvage, the Challenge became to design a new carriage house with all the original craftsmanship to match the historical context of the residence.
